The inside of this authentic Montana home features massive log timbers and hand crafted log railings throughout the house, providing a rich and charming feel in each room. The entire home has recently been updated and impeccably furnished with everything you?ll need for a genuine Montana experience. You?ll enjoy comfortable furnishings, a chef?s kitchen, new appliances, and a perfect layout for your group of up to 6 people. You?ll also love the covered porch overlooking the Bitterroot River, as well as the newly constructed screened porch for outdoor dining. You won?t find a better combination of location, amenities and furnishings in the Bitterroot Valley. The impressive master bedroom is located upstairs and features a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a jetted soaking tub and huge tiled shower. Intricate log work and big vaulted ceilings give this room a one of a kind feel you won?t soon forget. The master also features a walk out deck overlooking the river for enjoying your morning cup of coffee or tea, and provides great views up and down the river where you?ll see eagles, osprey, ducks, geese, wild turkeys, deer and an occasional moose working their way up and down the river. Two guest bedrooms are located on the main level of the home, both featuring comfortable queen sized beds. A guest bathroom is located between the two guest bedrooms. The great room has high vaulted ceilings with beautiful log work, giving the home the feeling of an authentic Montana Lodge. Several oversize picture windows provide unparalleled views of the Bitterroot River and the hundreds of acres of conservation easement lands surrounding the property. Comfortable seating is abundant in the great room with couch, love seat and side chairs, making this area the perfect common space for your group to gather and spend time together. And if the weather turns cool or you are visiting in winter, you can fire up the wood burning fireplace that is the focal point of the living area. When it comes to preparing your meals, you will be amazed at all the large kitchen offers. The owner?s of the cabin have thought of everything you might need to create memorable meals for your group, and have fully stocked the kitchen with quality amenities and appliances. Fishaus also offers WiFi service, satellite TV service, and a huge library of movies for guests if you need to keep in touch, are seeking some news or entertainment, or need to get a little work done. There is even a small desk and chair located upstairs if you need a place to spread out while you work. If you are visiting the area for fishing, you will be awestruck by the access to the Bitterroot River, which is just steps from the front door of the home. The home sits high on the western bank of the river, about 10 feet above the summer water level. Depending on the time of the year and the water conditions, access to the river for fishing changes. In high water conditions (mid-April to mid-June) there is a lot of water in the river and access is not encouraged, but after the water recedes you are able to get down to water level and fish upstream and downstream from the cabin, and cross the main channel of the river for even more access on the eastern shore of the river. This stretch of the river is very productive for fly fishing, and there is unlimited water to fish right from your front door. Fishaus will be one of our top rentals for years to come and we?re very excited about the addition of the property to our rental inventory.
